Bio:
Jay Andrews has practiced law for over thirty years. Mr. Andrews is an accomplished trial attorney having litigated, through verdict, hundreds of civil and criminal cases.
Jay has extensive experience in private, as well as public, practice. Mr. Andrews was appointed a Maricopa County Public Defense Attorney in 1984. During his tenure in this position, he litigated many reported criminal cases including State v. Michael Smith and State v. James Lee White. Mr. Andrews was eventually asked to become a Trial Group Supervisor, Chief Trial Deputy, and appointed acting Public Defender.
Mr. Andrews' private practice experience includes over 250 trials in an eleven-year period.

Mr. Andrews has been a college instructor, as well as a Judge Pro Tem, for the Maricopa County Superior Court. In addition, Jay served as the Assistant Director of the Arizona Civil Rights Commission, served on the Arizona Real Estate Commission, on the Arizona Committee on Post-Secondary Education, the Phoenix O.I.C., and the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Professional Football.
Jay belongs to various clubs and organizations including the National Black Republican Council (Board of Directors), and the Arizona Black Republican Council (State Chairman). Mr. Andrews is an ordained minister and resides in Tempe, Arizona, with his wife.
