Bio:
Michael W. Pearson completed his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude,
at the University of Houston. Michael also holds MBA and Juris Doctorate
degrees, with high honors, from the Arizona State University. While attending
law school, Mr. Pearson was nominated as a Pedrick Scholar due to academic
excellence, and awarded honors in legal writing and research. He graduated
at the top of his class.
Mr. Pearson has extensive civil litigation experience focusing his practice on litigation. Mike handles matters including serious personal injury and wrongful death cases (including aircraft crashes) as well as general litigation cases. He is currently a member at Curry, Pearson & Wooten, PLC. Mike, and the firm, are rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbell. In addition, Michael Pearson is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. Mike enjoys sports, music, reading (history, philosophy, logic), and most
of all, spending time with his family. Although born in Ohio, he has resided
in Arizona (with a short stay in Texas) since 1975.
Related Experience:
Mike has worked as an air traffic control specialist in the TRACON and
Tower environments (at several different facilities) for over 24 years
and has been on the faculty at Arizona State University for over 15 years.
Mike is a reviewer for the Journal of Air Transportation World Wide
and writes a monthly column for a national aviation magazine. He is currently writing an aviation law textbook for a major publisher. Mike also
worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Federal Aviation Administration
and is a graduate of the Department of Transportation aviation accident
investigation program.
Mike has taught aviation law, aviation regulations, as well as other
subjects, at Arizona State University since 1993 and is currently an Associate
Professor. Prior to accepting his academic appointment at Arizona State
University, Mike taught at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
