Client (Wife) sought an equal share of equity in home that was solely in Husband’s name and purchased shortly before the marriage. Husband objected and sought to have Wife receive only half of mortgage payments, not equity. Trial held and judge awarded Wife half of the value of the home.

Client’s former husband sought to terminate spousal maintenance alleging that his income had reduced. Objected on behalf of client and trial held. Husband’s petition was denied by judge and court awarded client attorney’s fees.

Non-working Wife sought unreasonable amounts of spousal maintenance, parenting time and attorney’s fees from Client in Divorce. Client’s offers to settle were reasonable but rejected. Case went to trial and judge sided with Client on these issues.
- Grandparent Rights – VISITATION AWARDED
Client (Grandmother) sought visitation with grandson after her son’s death (Father of child). Mother refused visits and fought any visitation. Trial held and judge awarded Grandmother visitation.
- Change of Custody and Parenting Time – CUSTODY AND PARENTING TIME CHANGED
Client (Father) sought change in custody and supervised visits for Mother based on mental health issues and danger to the child. Trial held and judge sided with client on the issues.
- Enforcement of Parenting Time – KIDNAPPING THWARTED
The other parent (Father) kidnapped the couple’s child and fled the state. Interviewed multiple people to determine Father’s whereabouts and obtained a Child Custody Warrant on behalf of our client. Our client was able to fly to the city where her son was being held, pick him up with the help of local law enforcement, and bring him home.
- Enforcement of Decree – PENSION RIGHTS AWARDED
Our client sought to enforce her rights to a retirement account. The other party contested her claim on appeal. The Court of Appeals affirmed our client’s right to the retirement account and also ordered the other party to pay her legal fees.

Clients retained us to mediate their divorce. After an all-day settlement conference, we helped them reach a full agreement on property, debt, spousal maintenance, child support, parenting time, and legal decision-making.

Opposing party sought to relocate to another state with the couple’s young child. We successfully prevented the relocation and obtained an equal parenting time schedule for our client.

Our client owned a successful business, and a dispute arose as to its value. We demonstrated that the other party’s expert made numerous errors in determining the business’s value, and we reached a mutually acceptable settlement in line with our own expert’s appraisal.

Our client was a single parent who had raised his children on his own. The other parent petitioned to establish parenting time after being served with a child support order. We demonstrated that the other parent presented a significant risk to the children’s safety due to issues with domestic violence and substance abuse, and the Court denied her request for parenting time.
- Divorce – DIVISION OF RETIREMENT BENEFITS
The parties possessed multiple retirement accounts, and the opposing party prepared Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs) that failed to fairly divide those accounts. We filed an objection to the QDROs, saving our client tens of thousands of dollars.
